The Central government is formulating a national policy for fishermen which would offer greater hopes of better living standards for fishermen, informed BJP National President, Shri. Amit Shah, during his recent visit to the coastal state of Karnataka.
A committee under the leadership of Dr. Ayyappan has been set up by the central government to outline the programme for the next 20 years supporting “The blue revolution” initiation taken by Honourable prime minister of India to bring the fishermen’s community to the main stream of development.
