Post-harvest technology and value addition has not yet received much attention in freshwater aquaculture sector. The subject has a major role to save wastage of eatable commodities of low grade fish products by converting those into value added products produce, being highly perishable, is wasted in the process of transfer form farm to the consumer. Efforts are highly essential to minimize such loss during transportation while technology should be developed for value addition to realize greater profit and consumer’s satisfaction.
