Dr K.V. Devaraj receives Lifetime Achievement Award at the 11th Indian Fisheries and Aquaculture Forum, Chennai

Dr K. V. Devaraj, Former Vice-Chancellor, University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru was given Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his distinguished contributions towards pioneering research, teaching and development of Inland aquaculture in India. The award was presented at the 11th Indian Fisheries and Aquaculture Forum (11th IFAF) held at Hotel Le Meridian, Cochin on 21st-24th November 2017. The forum hosted by the ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (ICAR-CIFT) in collaboration with Asian Fisheries Society Indian Branch (AFISB) and included eminent personalities, award winning scientists and scholars actively participating in the technical sessions and lectures on various themes like fisheries resources, fishing systems for sustainable fisheries, fishomics and frontier sciences for blue-bio economy, socio-economics, gender, capacity building and livelihood and Fisheries trade, policy and governance, etc.
